Omaha Beach Golf Course was created in 1986 by Guy Dupont and designed by Yves Bureau, who has many golf courses in France and abroad to his credit. It is located on the coast near Bayeux and only a few kilometers from the D-Day Landing Beaches and the American Cemetery at Colleville-sur-Mer where Steven Spielberg filmed scenes from Saving Private Ryan among the 10,000 white crosses. The 36 holes present two different aspects of the very beautiful local scenery. Sea views from the Club House to the 6th hole, whose green overlooks the port of Port en Bessin, and the last 9 holes give typical scenery of the Normandy countryside with its green meadows bordered by hedges. Every year, Omaha Beach Golf welcomes thousands of players from overseas thanks to its *** hotel and the Pierre et Vacances Residence. The historical richness of the site and the beauty of the landscapes make Golf Omaha an extraordinary experience.
